Acne is a skin condition characterized by the formation of blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples

  1. Drink 2 to 3 liters of water every day to flush out toxins from your body
  2. Eating low glycemic foods help in reducing the risk of developing acne such as whole grains, fruits, legumes
  3. Fruits like oranges, blueberries, apples
  4. Vegetables such as carrot, spinach, tomatoes apricots, sweet potato to be included
  5. Dals, Beans, peas, and lentils to be eaten daily
  6. A person addicted to rice may go for brown rice in a meal
  7. Oatmeals to be added to breakfast
  8. Non-vegetarian can eat fish which helps in reducing inflammation and improving acne because of omega 3
  9. Almonds, peanuts, Brazil nuts can also be an option for snacks
  10. Pumpkin seeds also prone to promoting healthier skin
  11. Chicken is also said to be safe in acne but in moderate quantity

Avoid:

  1. White bread to be avoided
  2. Noodles, pasta
  3. White flour products, white rice to be stopped immediately
  4. Sweeteners like maple syrup, honey aggravates acne more
  5. Skin milk may cause acne
  6. Chocolates, candies to be avoided especially when in the acne phase
  7. Avoid fried and oily food
  8. Cornflakes and soya bean oil should also be avoided as they contain omega 6
  9. Eating cakes and pastries regularly may also lead to the formation of acne in the teenage group
